Clearing
This is a current list of Trainers entering clearing where you can search for Trainers and decide who to make contact with. There is no defined period for clearing, it will run until all the posts have been filled. Neither Trainers nor Trainees will be required to complete a preference list as posts will be appointed to directly. Trainers will direct appoint trainees on DTIS, however, offers still have to be accepted via Oriel. Offers will be released via Oriel every 24 hours starting on Friday up until there will be no remaining posts.
Please note, as per the recruitment timeline for posts commencing on 1 September 2025, all participating trainers will be available to view here by 10am, noting that Remote & Rural trainers will be available from Friday, 16th of May. Remaining trainer prospectuses will be available from Monday, 19th of May.
Direct appointments open on Friday, 16th of May for Remote & Rural trainers and Monday, 19th of May for all other trainers.
Please note, preferencing on Oriel will open on at 10am Friday, 30th of May and will close at 10am on Friday, 6th of June.
As an applicant, you are responsible for contacting trainers to arrange meetings and interviews. To enable this, you must:

Under the Search tab on the left you can search by:By clicking on the Map tab, you will be able to see the location of all trainers in Scotland.
By clicking on a Trainer's name in the search list or the icons on the map you will be able to view the Trainers prospectus and post information, along with contact details.
Any recent updates such as open days will be visible on their Newsfeed tab.
